The Friends of Chamber Music's annual benefit, Soirée, will be held on May 17, 2008 at Kansas City's historic Central Library. This annual black-tie benefit features an elegant dinner catered by Gina and John Reardon of Catering by Design, and silent and live auctions with select wines, luxury items, and unique musical experiences. Patricia Rivette is this year's honorary chair. Kansas City-based wine consultant Doug Frost, one of only three people in the world to hold both Master Sommelier and Master of Wine titles, will serve as master of ceremonies. The Biava Quartet, one of today's most exciting young American quartets, will perform for guests.
Proceeds from the benefit support The Friends' three concert series and our educational music program, "What Makes It Great?" with Rob Kapilow.
