A Weekend in the Country
Enjoy a getaway for two in historic Arrow Rock, Missouri, just under two hours from Kansas City. Your weekend will include a guided tour and overnight stay at the guest house of "Prairie Park," the beautiful antebellum plantation home of the Sappington family; a tram tour of Arrow Rock; dinner at the old Arrow Rock Tavern; and a performance at the award-winning Lyceum Theatre. The Lyceum will present a selection of seven plays and musicals between June 6 and September 28, 2008: West Side Story, Big: The Musical, Proof, Arsenic and Old Lace, Little Women: The Broadway Musical, On Golden Pond, and The Mousetrap (tickets not valid for Cats). You select the performance and a date mutually agreeable to the hosts.

The Jupiter String Quartet, just on the heels of winning the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and winners of the Cleveland Quartet Award, the 8th International Banff Competition, and the National Fischoff Award, are coming to Kansas City in February 2009 to perform on The Friends' International Chamber Music Series. Have them in your home or another venue for a private concert with a group of 4 or 40 - it's up to you how many guests you invite! Private concert must take place the evening of Thursday, February 19, 2009. Also includes four box seats at the Folly Theater for the Jupiter String Quartet's performance on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 8 pm.
